STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our Statement of Faith is summarized as follows (a more in-depth summary is available upon request):

The Scriptures – We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s perfect revelation of Himself to mankind and a testimony to Christ and truth without any mixture of error.

God – We believe that there is one and only one eternal, living, and true God who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Man – We believe that mankind is created in God’s image and is the crowning work of His creation, and therefore, every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect, support, and Christian love.

Salvation – We believe that salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and involves the redemption of the whole man.

God’s Purpose of Grace – We believe that the gracious purpose of God is election, according to which He regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies sinful people.

The Church – We believe the church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers in Jesus Christ.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water and the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience to memorialize the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Lord’s Day – We believe that the Lord’s Day is the first day of the week, instituted for regular observance, worship, and spiritual devotion.

The Kingdom – We believe that the Kingdom of God encompasses His sovereignty over the universe and His particular kingship over all who belong to Him through commitment to Jesus Christ.

Last Things – We believe that God will bring the world to an end, and we believe in the visible, personal return of Christ to earth to judge all men in righteousness.

Evangelism and Missions – We believe that it is the responsibility of all Christians to endeavor to make disciples of all nations.

Education – We believe that all sound learning is part of Christian heritage.

Stewardship – We believe that all Christians have a spiritual responsibility and binding stewardship to reach the world for Christ through the use of their time, talents, and treasures.

Cooperation – We believe that cooperation is desirable between various Christian organizations (e.g. denominations, para-church, church planting networks, etc.) to further the kingdom of God.

The Christian and the Social Order – We believe that all Christians are to make the will of Christ supreme in our lives and in human society.

Peace and War – We believe that all Christians are to seek peace with all people on the principles of righteousness and to seek to bring about the end of war.

Religious Liberty – We believe that the Church and State should be separate and that the ideal is a free church in a free state.

The Family – We believe that the traditional family is the foundational institution of human society and is defined in the marriage of the uniting of one man and one woman in a lifetime covenant.
