OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

We Will Glorify God By Proclaiming Jesus And Edifying His Family

OUR CORE VALUES

WE VALUE:

LIVING BIBLICAL TRUTH

We value the Bible as God’s Word and the application of its truths in our everyday life. We value the Bible as God’s revealed truth and our final authority in written form for life and practice. As such, we value teaching and helping each other grow in biblical truth and wisdom in order that our lives may be transformed to be more like Christ, thereby glorifying Him before all people. Expository preaching and Christ-centered worship will be foundational to this effort.

FAITHFULNESS

We value having a faith that glorifies the Triune God in every aspect of our lives and ministry. All aspects of our lives and ministry will seek to operate in faith in the One who can do all things. We value honoring and glorifying the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit in our goals and objectives, and in our plans and in their execution. We value putting God’s Word into practice in our lives even when the future is unclear.

LOVING ONE ANOTHER AS FAMILY AND FRIENDS

We value pursuing life together as a community that is characterized by authentic love, affection, compassion, forgiveness, and faith-sustaining encouragement for one another regardless of age, ethnic or cultural diversity, or circumstances of life. We understand that every person is infinitely valuable to God and we will proactively welcome them and praise God for all who visit or join us. We value loving others as we love ourselves in fulfillment of God’s command to us. We value celebrating the diversity of our church family.

PASSIONATE PRAYER

We value entering into communion with God through prayer in order that He might be glorified through us as individuals, families, and as a collective church family. We value making prayer the dynamic force in our ministry and our worship, always committing our ways to the Lord to discern His will for us individually and collectively in order that He might be glorified in all our ways.

CHRISTIAN GROWTH

We value helping and equipping each person to identify and discover the spiritual gifts that have been given to them by the Holy Spirit. We understand that the Church is a body (1 Corinthians 12) and requires all of its members to do their part for the growth and betterment of the Kingdom of God. We value each person having a role to play in the church as we share Jesus with the world.

BIBLICAL STEWARDSHIP

We value biblical stewardship as evidenced by our family volunteering its time, sharing its talents, and giving of its financial resources to effectively achieve the vision and mission of the church. We value a sacrificial lifestyle that is predicated upon following the sacrificial example of Christ for His Church.

CHRIST-CENTERED WORSHIP

We value worshipping our Triune God biblically, passionately, and authentically as individuals and as a church family in public worship together. We desire to offer worship to God that is excellent in its production, pleasing and glorifying to Him, Spirit led, Christ exalting, gospel centered, and biblically saturated in its content.

EVANGELISM

We value modeling Christ’s example by developing and maintaining healthy relationships with those who do not know Christ, while seeking to introduce them to Him so that they may understand and receive His Gospel message. We value our family proactively engaging their community and inviting those in their families, neighborhoods, work, and social organizations to join our family. We value sharing Christ and His Gospel by equipping our people for making disciples among all peoples from all socio-economic, religious, age, ethnic, and cultural groups. And we value establishing partnerships with viable churches and Christian organizations to reach our world outside our community with the message of Jesus.

CHRIST-CENTERED LEADERSHIP

We value joyful and humble submission to spiritual, biblically-qualified male elders (pastors) who lead by example, not dominion, and with joy, not under compulsion, to equip our family for the work of the ministry, including aggressive efforts to multiply congregational leaders. We value upholding biblical complementarity in the church by encouraging and valuing the various roles, gifts, and ministries of men and women while appointing humble, spiritually-qualified, gifted men to be elders who oversee the affairs of the church. We value intentionally identifying, discipling, developing, encouraging, and appointing qualified leaders from diverse cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds for all levels of leadership in the church. We value the sustainability of our church by developing spiritually qualified leaders to lead the church as our current leaders leave our family.

OUR DNA

WE WILL BE:

BIBLICALLY-CENTRIC

Everything we do will be grounded in Scripture.

PASSIONATE AND JOYFUL

Our approach to ministry must be undergirded with the understanding that because of what Christ has done for us, we are to portray a sense of joy and passion as we serve Him.

SELF-SACRIFICING IN OUR LOVE

Just as Jesus gave us the best example of agape love, we will endeavor to be sacrificial in our love to one another and those impacted by our ministry. People are the most important thing to God and they must be most important to us.

FAITHFUL AND HOPEFUL

We will be a people who are known for walking with Jesus even when we cannot see the total picture ahead of us. We will faithfully execute our ministry and trust and hope in the provision of the Lord to accomplish His plan.

PRAYING PEOPLE

We will submit and subject our ministry and lives to God in prayer realizing that He instructs us to acknowledge Him in all our ways.

DISCIPLE MAKERS

We will be intentional in our efforts to develop future Christian leaders through both formal and informal disciple-making efforts. We realize the need to leave a legacy for Jesus by passing our faith on to others.

BALANCED PEOPLE

Understanding that we do not have unlimited resources and time, we will focus on a few things and strive to do them well. Weekly worship, children and students, small groups for adults, and mission work will be our primary focus.

EFFICIENT AND EXCELLENT IN OUR EXECUTION

Everything we do will be done to the glory of God, meaning that it will be done efficiently and with a standard of excellence that glorifies God.
